Thanks entirely to the efforts of my friend and colleague Shirley Thompson, I have the pleasure of running ‘Coaching Skills for Project Managers’ training once again this year for UK-based members of the Project Management Institute.
How did this come about?
Shirley is currently completing her PhD thesis (due 30th September – come on Shirley, you can do it!) . The PhD is on the use of coaching in project management. Shirley approached me to provide ‘the intervention’ itself, a one day coaching skills workshop for project managers. She has had the unenviable task of measuring and assessing the impact of this with the group that attended back in 2015. If you’d like to know more about this research, please do get in touch with me and I can put you in touch with Shirley.
This year’s Coaching Skills for Project Managers training will be held on 10th November, 2017. The venue is yet to be agreed. We used the beautiful Bletchley Park Mansion House previously, a most inspirational learning environment. This year will be a venue nearer to London.
Please contact me if you’d like to know more about this event, or this you’d like to run something similar in-house. Find more information about our leadership and management training courses.
